If an Oscar winner feels they don't deserve the award they've been given, are they allowed to give it to someone else? Or is it forbidden by the Academy?

No. They have to sign a contract stating that they will not do anything with it without first offering to sell it back to the Academy for a dollar. This became an issue when Heath Ledger won, and they gave it to his daughter, who was too young to sign said contract.

My daughter is in seventh grade, but a little short for her age. She has the idea of going as an Oscar winner, holding a fake Oscar and have a long gown with dripping mascara, as though she were crying. Any tips on how I can make a decent costume for her? I need a good dress and maybe a wig. Share your ideas! We want to be over the top. Thank you!

i just want to say this....about The Departed...I really liked the movie but I noticed a lot of continuity errors which really distracted me....I am not a very observant person either, so these things to someone else were probably so annoying......for instance....one scene Leo has a cigarettte and the next second in another shot no cigarette....then the tissue box kleenex up then down then up....sweaty in one shot not in the next....necklace inside shirt next shot not.....it was way to distracting ..i just thought that it was careless...
